This Miss Teter outfit is done in greens. The blouse is a soft light sage color, very pretty. The vest can be reversed to plain green. The split skirt has velcro closure.
This is for just the blouse, vest, and riding skirt.
Fits most bust sizes.
When Cowgirls Wore the Pants
The invention of the split skirt
This cowgirl means business. Note the gun on her hip and the rope on her horn.

The split skirt was a compromise between function and form. When a woman was on foot, it gave the outward appearance of looking like a dress. But when she mounted up, it handily divided down the middle so that she could swing her leg over and sit properly on her horse.
Think of the freedom this must have brought them, to finally be able to ride fully balanced, to finally enjoy a privilege men had taken for granted for centuries! Now cowgirls could gallop through the coulees and stampede alongside wild horses without the fear of being bounced to the ground. They could stay on their broncs and ride with the cowboys, but also still be respected as a lady.
